Savotta built an unshakable reputation with its legendary external frame backpacks and group tents supplied to the military and crisis response units. In the 2010s and 2020s, product development has been strong, and alongside the classics, top-quality and street-credible packs have been introduced for both everyday and professional use.

Top-Level Quality Control

Due to high demand, production in 2025 takes place in three countries: Finland, Estonia, and Poland. Savotta employs over 200 people. Final product quality assurance is carried out in Finland. Savotta products are made to last, and years of experience show in the functionality of the details - The idea has never been to make cheap products, but rather durable and functional ones.

If you’re wondering where your Savotta product was made – check the label! These usually say simply “Made in Finland”, “Made in Estonia” or “Made in Poland”. If the label reads “Made in Finland & Estonia”, it means exactly that: the item was partly manufactured in Finland and partly in Estonia.

Materials Suitable for Professional Use

Most Savotta products are made from Cordura fabric. This extremely durable nylon material is often used only as reinforcement in other products, but Savotta makes many of its backpacks and rucksacks entirely from it.

Made in Europe

Every Savotta product is 100% made in Europe, and 97% of the materials are produced within the EU. Savotta’s headquarters is located in Karstula, which, in addition to an office and logistics center, also houses versatile production facilities: metalworking, laser cutting, vacuum forming, and sewing are all carried out conveniently on site.

Built on a Sustainable Foundation

In 2021, Savotta was awarded the ISO 14001:2015 environmental certification. Other Savotta certifications include: ISO 9001:2015, AQAP 2110 Ed D, Facility Security Clearance NATO CAGE: A444G.
