MTL, or Merrell Test Lab, collaborates with top athletes. In so-called Skyrunning races, runs are conducted at altitudes above 2000 meters, with an average route incline of at least 6% uphill, and at least 5% of the route includes sections with a gradient of at least 30%. Due to these conditions, both the runners and their equipment must withstand rapid changes in weather, terrain, and steepness. The Skyfire 2 Matryx is designed to excel in these challenging races!
The Skyfire 2 Matryx is a lightweight option, featuring a “BZM-8” plate in the midsole that returns energy during the landing phase and provides protection against sharp terrain features.
