To complement Rab’s stunning Chroma Converge jacket, the collection includes these pants. The concept is exactly the same as with the jacket: materials and details are top-notch—Chroma Converge products are easy to predict having a long lifespan, and the usability of the pockets is outstanding. For several decades, three-layer Gore-Tex has been the choice of enthusiasts and professionals who want truly durable weather protection. The pockets are placed so that backpack and harness straps don’t obstruct access.
A big step towards sustainability is that the Gore-Tex membrane in these pants is made without fluorocarbon compounds, using ePE, which is polyethylene. Previously, both the membrane and the outer fabric’s water-repellent treatment were made from PTFE.
