Lightweight shell pants for women, especially at home in touring use. Top notch performance!
The Allea pants are designed with a focus on lightweight construction combined with complete weather protection. Whether you’re out with freeride skis or a splitboard, the Allea is a reliable choice. The uninsulated three-layer construction allows for significant flexibility in layering for warmth: while exploring the backcountry, you might break a sweat at times, and other times you’ll need to wear your warmest base and mid-layers under the shell.
When wearing three-layer clothing, it’s specifically the base and mid-layers that handle sweat: there’s nothing in the pants themselves that would get significantly damp. As a result, even after a long day, the pants dry quickly. Additionally, base and mid-layers dry faster on their own than the insulation in padded pants would.
Compared to the same brand’s Aeron pants, the biggest difference in the Allea pants is the material: the fabric used in the Allea pants offers comfortable stretch and has even higher waterproof and breathability ratings than the Aeron.
