The Honka (a Finnish nickname for a big old pine tree) is made of soft Australian Merino wool. Its comfortable feel on your skin is based on the quality of the fiber: Merino wool is graded by measuring the thickness of individual hairs, and the wool used in this top boasts an impressive reading of 16 micron - the thinner, the more comfortable the wool is.
The Honka is a good choice for use in below freezing temperatures, in hiking, outdoor sports and professional use. Especially hikers benefit from wool’s exceptional ability to keep you comfy when you mix periods of movement and staying still during breaks. In addition it requires little washing compared to technical fibers.
