The Hiker II is made to work and last, the difference to ultralight jackets is clear. You’ll find the pocket setup easy to appreciate not only in hiking, but your outdoorsy everyday life - sitting down with your phone and wallet in the pockets, you’ll notice they don’t inhibit your movements like they do in models where the pockets are right at the hem. The jacket has what’s known as a two layer structure, meaning the weatherproof membrane is laminated on the surface fabric’s inner side, and there’s a separate fabric/mesh liner.
