D cut apparel and big sizes
Plus-Size Outdoor and Hiking Clothing
D-Sizing? Plus-Sizes?
Clothing with a more generous fit is referred to by various names: plus-size clothing, D-sized outdoor clothing, or clothing in larger sizes. For example, Halti’s plus-sized garments feature larger hip, waist, and chest measurements compared to standard models, while maintaining the same sleeve and hem lengths.
The Basics of Layering - The Key to Comfortable Outdoor Activities
A technical or merino wool base layer, a mid-layer made of fleece or wool if needed, and finally a weatherproof shell layer – that’s the formula! In cold conditions, you can replace the shell layer with a down or insulated jacket and pants.
Trusted Outdoor Brands
Other favorite brands of ours that offer D-sized or larger-than-standard clothing include Columbia, Sasta, and Marmot.
