Bindings for cross-country skiing and Nordic skating
Today’s binding standards
The old jungle of binding standards is thankfully a thing of the past. Today, Turnamic, NNN and Salomon Prolink bindings are all compatible with each other. The only exception is NNN BC (Back Country), a sturdier system built for backcountry touring with a 42 mm wide toe bar. NNN BC bindings take NNN BC boots.
Some skis come with an IFP binding plate, so you can mount the binding without any tools. Adjustable bindings let you fine-tune glide, grip and balance point with a quick turn of a lever.
Nordic skating bindings
For Nordic skating, you can use either NNN BC touring bindings or skate bindings. Each Nordic skate lists which binding it’s compatible with.
