Robens Cress 2 Pro

The reasonably priced Cress 2 Pro is a great example of Robens’ expertise in tent design. Part of the Performance tent series, it is lightweight for its price range yet surprisingly weather-resistant, offering a solid overnight shelter for hikers, bike tourers and paddlers.

Robens tests its tents using a wind machine. The Cress 2 Pro withstood sustained winds of 140 km/h and gusts of up to 155 km/h before sustaining damage. This makes it a safe recommendation even for more extreme conditions – and its water column ratings are on par with many higher-end tents.

In true Nordic style, the poles are on the outside of the flysheet, and the inner tent is pitched simultaneously with the outer tent. If you’d like to split the tent load evenly between two people, the inner and outer can also be detached. Alternatively, you can pitch just the flysheet if needed.
