The hoodless lightweight insulated jacket from Rab’s popular Cirrus range is a solid choice for activities in freezing weather and for breaks and camp use out on the trail. This autumn 2026 model is a touch warmer than before.
The insulation in this men’s Cirrus Jacket comes is a high quality synthetic fibre with properties close to down: it isn’t a fixed layer of wadding, but loose fibre that is “blown” into the insulation baffles.
Lightweight insulated jackets are just what the name says: they have slightly more insulation than the thickest fleece jackets, and the outer fabric also shields you from the wind. In extreme conditions the Cirrus Jacket can be worn under a spacious enough shell jacket.
