You just screw the burner directly onto the gas cartridge, turn on the gas and light it - then start cooking. There are lighter stoves on the market, but the Essential Trail Stove is much sturdier than many stoves. Its low structure and wide, solid boiler bars reduce the risk of tipping over considerably.
