Nikwax Softshell Proof Wash-In

Nikwax Softshell-Proof is an easy-to-use, water-based treatment that improves the water repellency of softshell garments while maintaining their breathability.

Softshell-Proof is recommended for:

• Gore Windstopper
• Windbloc
• Schoeller
• Polartec
• Package size: 300 ml, enough to treat three garments.

Nikwax Softshell-Proof Washing Instructions

• First remove any parts that cannot be washed.
• Clean the garment separately before treatment. The garment does not need to be dried before waterproofing. Be sure to follow the garment’s own washing instructions, for example regarding temperature.
• Shake well before use.

Machine Wash

• Always remove detergent residues from the washing machine’s detergent drawer.
• Place a maximum of 2 clean garments in the washing machine.
• Use 2 full caps (100 ml) per garment.
• Wash on a 40° synthetic cycle and spin slowly.

Hand Wash

• Wear protective gloves.
• Immerse the garments to be treated in hand-warm water.
• Use 2 full caps (100 ml) per garment.
• Stir, soak for 5–10 minutes, then stir thoroughly again.
• Rinse with cold water until the water runs clear.
• Follow the garment’s own care instructions regarding drying.
