Technical clothing is simple to maintain: just remember to use liquid instead of powder, preferably with Nikwax Tech Wash. Do not use fabric softeners or any detergents containing whiteners. When washing shell clothing, switch off the centrifuge in your washing machine.
Scandinavian Outdoor offers both washing and impregnating chemicals for technical clothing. Shell clothes and soft shell clothes have their surface fabric impregnated for a water repellent finish, and this treatment can be renewed with the right impregnation products.
