Rakka, Finnish for a certain type of rocky terrain, has given inspiration for this 2023 annual knife. In the spirit of the rocky wilderness, Rakka’s birch handle is waxed in a stylish gray – and the handle’s heat-treated strip reminds us there is also warmth inside a rock.
As most Marttiini puukko knives, this model is equally suitable for collectors as it is for real-life wilderness use. In the latter case, take care of the carbon steel blade: dry it immediately after use, and occasionally spread a thin coating of salt-free oil on it to prevent rust.
