A combination of jerky, vegetables and rice - ready in 10 minutes! Emphasis on protein.
Just add water - ready in ten minutes! Kuivalihakundi’s dried meal is a tasty choice for hiking, as an emergency food option in varying accommodation conditions, or even as part of a versatile home pantry.
The name “Köykäne” comes from the fact that this is the manufacturer’s lightest dried meal in terms of energy content—about four hundred kilocalories won’t send you straight to a nap.
Ingredients:
Rice, dried meat (beef roast [Fi], gluten-free soy sauce [water, hydrolyzed soy protein, salt], sugar syrup, garlic, black pepper, habanero chili, naga jolokia chili), carrot, red onion, tomato, bell pepper, roasted onion (wheat flour). Strongly salty. Country of origin for the meat: Finland. Note! Contains gluten.
Instructions:
Boil water. Open the pouch from the top, above the sealing mechanism. Pour water until it reaches the level of the dried food (about 1.5 dl). At this stage, fully open the bottom of the pouch and mix thoroughly. Close the mechanism and let steep for 5 - 10 minutes. When the food is ready, you can tear the edges of the pouch lower from the tear line below. Be careful not to tear the pouch downward.
Kuivalihakundi is Finnish for “the jerky dude”, and “Köykäne” is a shortened version of one word for light.
