Mid layer and fleece jackets
Regular fleece is the most common mid-layer material. Stretch fleece, such as PowerStretch, gives a more body-hugging fit. On regular fleece, the inner and outer surfaces are identical: the soft pile feels warm and insulates well. Stretch fleeces, on the other hand, are brushed soft on the inside but smooth on the outside. They stay looking neat for a long time, and thanks to the stretch they fit close to the body — so no air pockets or wrinkles form in between. A mid-layer insulates well and weighs little!
