Women's Skiing jackets
A women’s ski jacket for every outing
Really any of the women’s ski jackets we sell will work on the slopes. For backcountry skiing, shell-type jackets are the most common choice, because although the descents call for extra insulation, you sometimes push uphill for a long stretch, and an insulated jacket would just make you sweat unnecessarily. Backcountry trips are also long, so it’s valuable to avoid sweating your insulation layer wet.
Practical details
Details on women’s ski jackets include a powder skirt at the waist and, for example, a lift pass pocket on the sleeve. They work well while skiing, but don’t get in the way when you wear the jacket as an everyday winter coat too — plenty of ski jackets end up serving other uses as well. The hoods on ski jackets are always compatible with a ski helmet.
