Women's Skiing jackets

There are two main types of ski jackets: insulated and shell. An insulated ski jacket has synthetic insulation, making these jackets quite robust overall. Shell jackets, on the other hand, are worn over interchangeable base and mid-layers depending on the weather, and the shell itself is relatively minimalist. The advantage of a shell jacket is that it contains minimal moisture-absorbing material.

Virtually all the ski jackets we sell are suitable for use on the slopes. For freeriding, shell jackets are the most common choice, as although the downhill portions require extra insulation, you often have to hike uphill for extended periods, making an insulated jacket too warm. These excursions are also long, so it’s helpful to avoid sweating and soaking the insulation layer.

Ski jacket details include features like a snow skirt at the waist and a lift pass pocket on the sleeve, which are convenient for skiing but don’t detract from using the jacket as an everyday winter coat—many ski jackets end up being used for other purposes as well.

The hoods on ski jackets are sized generously enough to fit over a ski helmet.
