The name Gobi evokes images of desert landscapes, and Vivobarefoot’s Gobi is indeed a stylized version of a shoe originally developed for desert use. True to barefoot shoes, the Gobi’s structure is very loose and lacks shock absorption - support and cushioning come from the human foot itself.
