A super compact mini Trangia, hard-anodized pot and nonstick pan!
The Mini-Trangia, also known as the Trangia 28, was originally developed for the Karrimor International Mountain Marathon. It uses the same ultra-reliable spirit burner as many other Trangia models, with a highly minimalist support designed specifically for it. The pot has a capacity of 8 dl, and the lid, which doubles as a frying pan, also serves a useful role for solo travelers.
In this special edition, the pot is hard-anodized. This electronic surface treatment prevents aluminum from leaching into food, even when cooking more acidic meals.
The frying pan, on the other hand, has a nonstick coating. Please avoid heating the pan while empty, as its thin and highly heat-conductive material can easily overheat, potentially damaging the nonstick surface.
The package also includes the very lightweight handle shown in the pictures. Be sure to use it with care, as it doesn’t provide quite the same sturdy grip as the standard Trangia handle.
The lid snaps onto the pot, keeping the entire set neatly packed during transport. While cooking, it’s best to use the lid/frying pan with the open side facing up—do not snap the lid shut while boiling.
Like a traditional spirit-burning Trangia, the burner comes with a tight-sealing cap, as well as a simmer and snuffer lid. The burner’s maximum power output is 1000 watts, and the spirit fuel burns virtually silently.
After cooking, allow the burner to cool down sufficiently before sealing it. This helps maintain the integrity of the gasket in the screw cap for a long time. We do offer replacements as spare parts, but still…
