Sherpa Adventure Gear donates an amount of money equivalent to one day of schooling to the Room to Read organization’s Nepal Education Program for every Sherpa product purchased. The amount of money donated has already exceeded the milestone of one million school days!
Additionally, Sherpa Adventure Gear employs Nepalese people at the local level - many of the manufacturer’s products are made in Nepal.
The twenty-year-old company puts a lot of emphasis on the environmental friendliness of the materials it uses. The clothes are made from organic cotton, recycled polyester, and RWS-certified wool.
The patterns on the clothes combine traditional symbols with more modern interpretations. Kathmandu-based artist Aditya Arial has contributed his own touch to the stylish designs.
