Sauna has been a central and valued part of Finnish life for ages. In decades and centuries gone by, generations have been born in a sauna, and it is indeed a place of birth, life, celebration and death.
The Hiisi allows you to enjoy a sauna experience even while traveling or in temporary accommodation. The hexagonal Hiisi, designed for four people, is easy to carry and benefits from Savotta’s expertise in camping tents. Set it up by the beach, in the mountains, in the forest, or in your backyard! With a group of four people working together, the setup time is approximately 10 minutes.
Updated, lighter version: Now the roof is also made from the same fabric as the walls.
Stove and benches sold separately. Compatible with Savotta benches and stove: the interior can accommodate two two-person benches and a stove. The stove is placed at the back of the tent, and the benches are on the sides.

The fire resistance of the main fabric means it won’t catch fire in an explosive manner. It is, however, not fireproof, meaning you don’t want to expose it to flames.
Remember safety with all sauna tents: consider the risk of fire and do not heat the sauna tent above 75 degrees Celsius. The tent should not be left set up, for example, in a cottage yard for the whole summer but should be dismantled after each use and dried—UV radiation weakens tent fabrics. Sparks, even with careful use, will cause small holes in the tent, which is normal wear and tear and not covered by the warranty.
Hiisi is a Finnish word for a sacred place of power and sacrifice.
