A Savotta daypack for hiking and why not city use as well. Made to last!
A long-awaited new arrival, the Savotta Niukka 20 daypack combines a more minimalist style with the durability and quality familiar from Savotta’s more military-oriented production. This EDC style pack has two MOLLE webbing strips on the bottom, each six slots long, to which you can attach all kinds of gear: add separately available straps or bungee cord to carry a roll of clothing, a sleeping pad etc..
The pack opens in a clamshell style, for perfect access to all your gear.
As usual, the Niukka 20 is made from extremely strong Cordura polyamide fabric. The bottom is reinforced, the buckles that take the heaviest stress are metal, and the shoulder strap parts, plastic buckles, and G-hooks are easy to replace if your use is so hard that something unfortunate happens to them. The double zippers allow continued use even if a zipper breaks.
The back panel uses a detachable closed cell foam pad for both padding and support, and you can take it off the pack for use as a a sitting and kneeling pad. This pad can be replaced with the Savotta Sitting Pad.
In the additional image, the excellent Savotta Suur-Kukkaro waist pack has been attached as a front pocket for the pack. Thanks to the compression strap’s G hooks, this can be done without the need for extra parts. The compression straps and strap loops on the top part of the pack can be used for carrying all sorts of stuff. You can also use the G hook’s loops for rigging in some bungee cord.
