Rab’s hugely popular Neutrino products are the right choice when gear weight needs to be minimized — they are at home in a lightweight hiker’s pack, on long trips, and anywhere significant elevation gain is involved. The Neutrino sleeping bag has a “tapered mummy” shape, meaning it narrows more sharply toward the foot end than a standard mummy bag. This is one of the factors that give the bag its excellent warmth-to-weight ratio.

The Neutrino -6 ranks as a “two season sleeping bag” in Rab lingo, while the lab-tested comfort rating of 0°C is often considered the mark of a three season bag.

The L.O.F.T. 3D down baffles are designed to prevent the down from shifting inside the chambers — this eliminates cold spots and the baffles also reduce the overall weight of the bag. Different fabrics are used in different areas: where durability is not as critical, a 10-denier shell is used, and elsewhere a 20-denier fabric, both top-quality Pertex Quantum ripstop.
