Rab Expedition 1400

A super warm winter bag for extreme conditions. -40°C.

Rab’s Expedition 1400 carries a whopping 1.4 kilograms of extremely high quality 850FP European goose down. It is made to offer protection and warmth in temperatures as low as -40°C, making it perfect for serious pulk-hauling ski trips to Nordic back country as well as polar environments and high mountains. The down is treated for water repellency, helping keep up its performance on long outings and enabling faster drying times after use. Bags of this thermal range don’t get proper results in the standardized sleeping bag test: after a certain amount of insulation, bags tend to get the same results even when there is a significant difference between them. This is the reason for the bag’s lack of standard temperature data. Rab has given it a Rab Sleeping Limit temperature of -40°C.
