The lighter version of a popular cycling shell for men.
Rab’s Downpour products have long been popular among hikers. The Cinder version was redesigned from the original model to better suit cycling, and for spring 2025, this Light version is being introduced, which is over 100 grams lighter than the original Cinder. The fabric has been changed, and the ventilation zippers have been removed. The packed size has also been reduced, making this jacket incredibly easy to carry along.
The Cinder Light is cut to accommodate even an aggressive riding position if needed. The hood can be used for warmth during breaks or worn under a helmet while riding. It’s a great choice for commuting, bad-weather rides, and bikepacking trips.
Thanks to its unlined 2.5-layer material, the jacket packs down extremely small when needed. Typically, 2.5-layer materials require a long-sleeve base layer underneath, but in a pinch, the Downpour Cinder Light can also be thrown over a short-sleeve cycling jersey.
