Petzl Tikka Core 450lm

As is typical of Petzl lights, the Tikka Core is completely rainproof and highly reliable. Thanks to it being a “Hybrid concept” light, it comes with a 1250 mAh rechargeable battery, but if your trip exceeds the capacity of the battery, just grab along some AAA batteries (sold separately) and switch to using them once having run the battery dry. The light is easy to charge with a type C USB cable.

Updated model: the battery run time is now 30 minutes longer, and the body, strap and stuff sack now contain a lot of recycled fibers.

Use the separately available Bike Plate 2 adapter and Adapter Kit to mount this helmet on your bicycle’s handlebar or bicycle helmet. Climbing helmets, work safety helmets and skate style bicycle helmets have their own adapter plate.
