Very lightweight and packable when needed, the women’s Peak Performance Treeline HIPE 2.5L Shell Parka is a smart choice when autumn, spring or summer rains threaten to make your day uncomfortable. Weather protection under the lightweight face fabric comes from the manufacturer’s HIPE membrane, also familiar from many of Peak Performance’s ski jackets.
You’ll find the best possible comfort with a 2.5-layer jacket when wearing a long sleeve top underneath, but when a summer shower hits, you can just chuck the jacket straight over a t-shirt. The inner surface is extremely simple: a light pattern is printed straight onto the weatherproofing membrane.
The front zip is two-way. It’s a good idea to open it from the hem before you sit down on a bench, for example, as this saves the zip from sideways strain.
