MSR Elixir 4

Two doors and vestibules, with little weight penalty! The Elixir works well from spring to fall. Pitching is simple and ventilation is efficient. You stick both main poles to their corner holders, clip the inner tent hooks to the poles, and then just set the fly on top after putting the shorter, third pole to its place.

The package includes a footprint, enabling pitching without using the inner tent. This setup can be handy when you need protection during, for instance, a lunch break.

As is typical for four person tents, the Elixir 4 is comfortable for three users, and quite compact for four.

This updated model from the 2026 MSR lineup has slightly stronger fly and floor fabrics compared to the previous model.
