Maurten Gel 160

Maurten Gel 160 is an energy gel made with Hydrogel technology, truly gel-like (not syrupy), designed to be absorbed well even during demanding performances. The gel-like structure also helps reduce mess.

Gel 160 is available at events like the Ironman Global Series, T100 World Series, and the Chicago, Boston, and Berlin marathons, as well as the SBT Gravel event.

Maurten products have a very neutral taste. This offers two advantages: the flavor doesn’t irritate anyone’s palate, and, according to the manufacturer, flavors are often used to mask the taste of unpleasant ingredients.

The recipe is simple: Water. Glucose. Fructose. Gelling agents: Sodium alginate, Gluconic acid, Calcium carbonate.

The ratio of fructose to glucose is 0.8 / 1.
