Jubileum knife of the Year 2027: a large, ergonomic puukko for bushcraft and outdoor use.
Marttiini continues its Knife of the Year tradition with the 2027 Tähti (Finnish for star) knife. The Tähti takes its inspiration from clear night skies and the glow of the stars.
Among the annual knives, the Tähti sits firmly on the practical side of the range: the ergonomic handle, shaped after the Ilves knife, and the leuku-style blade are built for a wide range of bushcraft tasks. The carbon steel blade holds its edge well and can be honed razor-sharp on a traditional whetstone. Some Tähti knives may well end up in a collector’s display cabinet, but this puukko is clearly made to handle real life use, and it makes a great gift for hikers and bushcraft enthusiasts.
