In this seventh version, the running feel has been tuned to be more responsive than the previous model, with an emphasis on more technical terrain. The new SCF midsole contains ‘supercritical’ EVA foam. The outsole tread pattern has also been redesigned for even better grip than in the earlier version. The heel collar has been refined for the best level of comfort, and the shoe is now ready for use with gaiters.

As many other trail runners, the Speedgoat is also great for walking-paced activities.

The sole seems thicker than it actually is, thanks to Hoka’s way of making the sole in a bathtub construction instead of a slab of foam. The bathtub structure has its own effect on the great levels of comfort in Hoka shoes.
