Hoka One One’s award-winning Speedgoat shoes have been named after Karl “Speedgoat” Metzler. Speedgoat shoes are made for fast pace trail running on technical terrain.

This version number 6 is a bit lighter than version 5, but more importantly, the underfoot feel has been tweaked on step away from plushness, and towards a more responsive running feel. The surface fabric is more breathable than before and the tongue is padded more, for extra comfort.

The Speedgoat is a pretty narrow fit shoe: this “wide” version is close to a regular fit by most brands.

The sole seems thicker than it actually is, thanks to Hoka’s way of making the sole in a bathtub construction instead of a slab of foam. The bathtub structure has its own effect on the great levels of comfort in Hoka shoes.
