An easy to pitch tunnel for three users, for three season use.
Helsport makes different versions of their most popular tent models, allowing for people with different budgets to enjoy the structure and detail of the best of the best without breaking the bank. The Scouter series is a fine example of such performance to price optimization. The price difference is created by using tough basic fabrics instead of high end ones, but the structure and general structure are just as tough as those of more expensive models.
Stormproof and spacious, the Scouter Lofoten has a very versatile vestibule. You can choose how many of the three outer doors to open, or roll the front up for extra ventilation. When closed, it offers rain protection for everyone’s backpacks or panniers. The poles are colour coded, meaning they are easy to place in their respective pole channels. Although the overall weight may seem high, when divided between three hikers we’re really not talking about a heavy tent, and unlike with ultralight alternatives you don’t have to spend energy wondering if the weather is going to turn too rough for the tent.
As is often the case in tents like this, the Lofoten has its inner tent “buttoned” to the fly - in normal use, this means the whole thing gets pitched up together, but if you find it convenient, you can separate the two, as well.
