High grip shoes

What are high grip shoes? Specially made for ice and hardpacked snow, they are the right choice when you can't use studded shoes. These shoes are at their best on clean ice or hardpacked snow, as even a light layer of snow on top will make things endlessly slippery. Some high grip shoes have a uniform material, others have a relatively regular structure, with added high grip elements in between.
