A versatile shell for men - suitable for hiking, general use and skiing.

The Men’s Spire Alpine GTX shell jacket adapts easily to a wide range of uses. While it’s designed with skiing in mind (long enough hem, helmet compatible hood and lift ticket pocket), the materials and cut also make it a solid choice for autumn hiking trips, for example. This model does not have a snow skirt, which would be in the way when carrying a backpack with a hip belt.
The two spacious front pockets are positioned so that a backpack hip belt or climbing harness won’t block access. Thanks to their placement, items in the pockets also won’t get wedged between your thigh and torso when squatting, sitting down, or stepping over obstacles in rough terrain.
The hem of the jacket is relatively long – the added coverage in this area makes a noticeable improvement to the overall wearing experience. The outer fabric is relatively lightweight yet durable and built for real use, striking a good balance between ultralight and overly heavy.
