Super long runtime with solid basic navigation - an eTrex with solar panel.
eTrex series navigators have always offered long battery runtimes. This has been achieved with carefully chosen core features: the longest-running models do not have map support, as displaying a map on a colour screen saps lots of power. The eTrex Solar takes runtimes to another level, by adding a solar panel.
Note! This navigator is not compatible with maps. The “map screen” displays your tracks, points of interest and routes on what is pretty much a white background.
Coupled with a smart phone, the eTrex supports phone alerts, weather data, and the Livetrack function which allows you to share your location data with friends or family. The eTrex is also Geocaching Live compatible. The Garmin Explore app helps you share and plan your adventures.
