When you make a couple of crucial choices regarding the construction of the binoculars at a certain cost level, you get exceptionally good image quality in this price range: these binoculars are not waterproof, and they use a so-called Porro prism structure, i.e. it is a traditional “angle model”. As money has been saved in these areas, the quality of the optics has been given a nice boost.
The Scenery 8x40 also works in slightly darker conditions. The reversible eyecups allow for use with glasses. The unusually large apparent field of view in this price range also helps here. The Scenery 8 x 40 is a solid choice for birding and other outdoor activities.
