Spacious shoulder bag made from cotton-polyester, featuring the 1960 Fjällräven logo.
The Fjällräven 1960 Tote is a shoulder bag inspired by the original Kånken backpack. It holds just a touch less than your average grocery store plastic bag, so there’s plenty of room for everyday essentials or shopping. Thanks to its simple structure, it is remarkably light weight.
The year in the name of Fjällräven’s 1960 products refers to the design year of the logo used on them.
The opening has a bag-like “snow lock” design familiar from some backpacks: the actual mouth of the bag can be left open, but you can cinch this fabric shut with a drawcord and quick-release buckle.

- The outer fabric is G-1000 HeavyDuty cotton-polyester that ages gracefully, with recycled polyester and organic cotton
- Padded laptop pocket inside fits machines up to 14”
- Adjustable shoulder strap (note! this bag is carried over one shoulder, not on both shoulders like a backpack)
- Carry handles
- A daisy chain section lets you hang pens, clips, gate clips or, say, a multi-tool.
The fabric of this product is treated with Greenland Wax. With regular use the wax wears off, but you can reapply the treatment at home. Getting it as even as the factory treatment may take a little practice.
