Duer was founded by Gary, who worked for Levi Strauss and at one point in his career switched to commuting by bike instead of car. It was then that he realized he wanted to market jeans that would work just as well for meetings as they did for commuting - the result was the Duer brand. Duer is a contraction of the word “doer”, meaning maker.
