Craghoppers Nosilife Ultimate Hat II

A proper mosquito hat needs to have a wide brim to keep the netting away from your face and ears. At the same time, it provides excellent protection from the sun and light rain showers. The Nosilife Ultimate Hat II packs into a compact ball that easily fits into a suitcase, backpack, or side bag.

Nosilife is effective against the following pests: Mosquitoes, ticks, fruit flies, fleas, bedbugs, dust mites, horseflies, fire ants, tsetse flies and fireflies.

The main material is recycled polyamide, and the netting is made from new polyester.

Craghoppers has changed the active ingredient in its insect repellent clothing: it now uses plant-based eucalyptus citriodora oil (a biocide). It is milder than the active ingredients used previously, but prevents insects from landing and staying on the surface of the fabric. As a bonus, the treatment also reduces odors.

The active ingredient complies with the European Biocidal Products Regulation 528/2012/EU. It is certified at level 1 by ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals), and the manufacturer is seeking certification at level 3.
