Zweibrüder ZB9H

If you want it to, the Zweibrüder ZB9H head torch adjusts its light settings to suit the situation. When the beam hits something close by, such as bright white snow a couple of metres away or the map in front of your nose, the output automatically dials down and the beam widens. This helps protect your night vision and, over hours of use, saves battery too.

You can also switch the automatic mode off and choose high beam, low beam, reading light or red light manually.

You select the light setting with a handy slide switch on the underside of the lamp. It works even when the torch is switched off, so it comes on straight away in the mode of your choosing.

Modern LED lights control their brightness by switching the power on and off very rapidly. Zweibrüder torches do this at such a high frequency that the light doesn’t flicker, even when you move quickly. Cheap LED torches often do.

Included is an adhesive mount that you attach to a work helmet, climbing helmet or skate-style cycling helmet, so the ZB3H also works as a helmet light. Note: The adapter needs a flat surface, which not every cycling helmet has.
