An underquilt is more practical than using a sleeping pad with your hammock: it stays in its place, and you avoid having to align a slippery pad between a slippery sleeping bag and a slippery hammock.
Unlike sleeping bags, quilts don’t have standardized temperature rating tests. The manufacturer refers to this product’s warmth by saying it should be fine down to -2°C.
