AI summary of customer reviews

Reviews praise the pad’s low weight, warmth, and ease of use; it works on its own in summer and even near freezing for some users, but is often best as a secondary layer under an air pad in colder conditions. Versatile for use as a sit pad, quick break mat, or platform for climbing gear, and very fast to deploy. Build quality and durability earn compliments, and it feels cushier than basic foam. Downsides are bulkiness despite the light weight and a wish from some for one extra panel of length; it’s also not as plush as an inflatable.

A lightweight, insulating and handy mat. Can be carried as a seat pad, shortened if necessary and with an additional layer of insulation to accompany the air pad. For example, when climbing, it is easy to spread climbing equipment on the mattress for protection. When hiking, have breakfast while pottering on the mat.

I upgraded my old ridgerest to this one, same quality as the previous one, nice wide model

Really good. I use it as a winter base, for example, on a lean-to. A little bulky to carry, but light and worth the effort.
