Bushmen products often have innovative features. This underblanket is no exception: it can be worn as a break garment during evening and morning activities, used as a regular blanket or as an emergency sleeping bag. The same part of the blanket functions as a pocket when used as a blanket, and as a hood when used as a cape.

Sleeping in a hammock is comfortable, but as the weather gets colder, heat easily starts to escape through the mat when the body weight flattens the sleeping bag’s insulation layer. A much more convenient alternative to a sleeping pad is an underblanket that can be adjusted under the mat: it stays in place no matter how many times you turn over.

Unlike sleeping pads, there is no temperature classification system for a products like this, but the manufacturer estimates the insulation to be sufficient down to about -5°C.
