Artist Teemu Järvi specializes in nature subjects in his art, and all of his work stems from his deep relationship with the forests, lakes and animals in Finnish nature.
“The brown bear, the king of the forest, has always been highly respected, and considered to be a supernatural animal. It was believed to die in its nest every autumn, and be born again after a long winter. Many peoples consider the bear as their ancestor. Many stories of the bear’s birth exist, one of which includes ancient Finnish god Ukko, who threw wool in the water.
