Ready for racing, as well as fast exercise runs. Racing technology for enthusiasts, complete with a carbon plate.
In recent years, a technology that has stirred up the running shoe world is now available to enthusiasts: the carbon-fiber EnergyBlade plate in the S/Lab Spectur returns energy during the landing phase, propelling your stride forward like a spring.
The S/Lab Spectur is an excellent choice for amateur racers and fast-paced runs. Designed in Annecy, France, this shoe is part of the manufacturer’s top-tier S/Lab lineup. Whether your goal is a sub-four-hour marathon or a sub-45-minute 10k, the S/Lab Spectur is designed just for you.
During product development, it was found that the first shoes equipped with the plate only helped when running at paces under 4:15 per kilometer, or speeds over 14 km/h. These elite shoes are also designed with the assumption that the heel barely touches the ground, unlike with regular runners.
The goal was to create a shoe that enables recreational runners to benefit from a carbon-fiber plate. The outsole design accommodates heel striking and the slower pace of non-elite runners—you don’t need to learn a new running technique to benefit from the S/Lab Spectur!
