The Insectsafe treatment used in the Värnamo pants reduces insects and ticks from landing on and moving across the fabric. These pants have a relaxed fit, suitable for various leisure activities.
The fabric itself is made of natural fibers: 60% linen and 40% super-comfortable Lyocell fiber, which is derived from wood pulp.

The active ingredient in the Insectsafe treatment is IR3535, which has been used in repellent sprays for over 30 years. It provides long-lasting protection against ticks and insects - even 80 washes do not remove the substance from the fabric. The ingredient does not kill insects but makes the fabric an unpleasant environment for them. An insect landing on the fabric typically spends a moment there before leaving. IR3535 is also safe for use by small children and pregnant women. The ingredient is approved by the WHO, and the U.S. EPA and CDC.
