They should have been a size larger. It's a shame, because the shoes are otherwise lovely. However, I couldn't return them because I put a preservative on the shoes before trying them on. My previous Palladiums are years old and I trusted that the size markings were still correct.

I normally wear a size 37 and order a 38 because of thick socks. These are almost too small and a bit tight around my big toe. Otherwise, great shoes!
