Technical clothing is easy to care for, but there are a few important things to keep in mind: always wash shell and softshell clothing with liquid detergent, preferably Nikwax Tech Wash. Do not use fabric softener or bleach. When washing shell clothing, do not spin the clothes.
Our selection includes both washing and impregnation agents for technical clothing - the surface material of shell clothing and softshells is impregnated at the factory to make it water-repellent, and this treatment can be renewed at home using the right substances.
Cotton polyester fabrics, such as Fjällräven’s legendary G-1000, benefit from waxing. A wax block is rubbed onto a clean garment and then the wax is melted into the fabric with a hairdryer or iron. Do not wax stretch panels or stretch fabrics, as the elastane in them is easily damaged by heat.
It is best to wash wool and down with detergents specially developed for them.
Our selection also includes patch stickers suitable for repairing clothing and equipment fabrics, so small holes or cuts don’t mean that your favorite item is unusable.
